Hello! Welcome to my website.

I am a freelance writer based in Philadelphia. I write magazine features about a range of topics, among them powerful people and institutions, urban development, and sports.

I’m currently a writer at large for Philadelphia magazine. Previously, I was on staff at the magazine, first as a research editor (long live fact checkers!) and then as a staff writer. My work for Philadelphia has been nominated in the reporting, feature writing, and civic journalism categories at the City and Regional Magazine Awards.

I’ve also worked for Washingtonian and Esquire, and I’m originally from Salt Lake City, Utah, a place I still find very beautiful and fascinating.
